Before Jordyn came to Inner Fire last October, the idea of standing in front of a room and leading people terrified her.
She was already working with women 1-1 and had trained in breathwork, but when it came time to leading a group she was breaking down with anxiety and having panic attacks.
In her own words:
“I literally was hysterical. I felt like I was having panic attacks. I was like get me out of here, I’m going to die.”
When she signed up for Inner Fire, she thought she needed clarity about her direction in life and work.
“I felt like it was going to be really expansive and transformational. I felt like there’s no way I’m leaving that retreat the same person.”
But what surfaced during the retreat wasn’t just confusion about her career.
It was a deep block around dance, leadership and self-expression that she didn’t even realise she was still carrying.
During one of the journeys, everything came to the surface.
“It was the mind and body exercise we did. That was the most powerful thing. Just screaming and being witnessed & heard in front of all of you women. That was the most liberating thing.”
Through the work we did together in the retreat, Jordyn was able to heal the fear and blocks she had been carrying in her body around dance and being seen.
Something shifted.
& then something unexpected happened...
She ended up leading a dance class for the entire Inner Fire group.
A leadership role she never imagined she was capable of stepping into.
That moment opened a door.
1 week later she had a request to lead a session at a retreat.
After the retreat, Jordyn said:
“I honestly felt the most regulated that I’ve ever felt. Like so regulated.”
But the real transformation happened in the months that followed.
The woman who once felt terrified to lead a room is now:
• Leading breathwork weekly
• Booked to host workshops on retreats
• Hosting her own events and women’s circles
• Creating workshops that combine breathwork and dance
Something she never imagined she would be doing.
“Yesterday I was driving home and I was like… holy shit. I think Nuna changed my life.
I spoke so confidently in that breathwork class and I surprised myself.
My body knows different now. My body knows that it’s safe.”
The biggest shift she describes isn’t just confidence.
It’s leadership.
“The way I show up in a leadership role is huge. That’s probably the main thing.”
Sometimes the thing that is blocking your next chapter isn’t something you can think your way through.
It’s something that needs to be released from the body.
& when it is…
A completely different version of you becomes possible.
